The bus shelter on New Britain Avenue south of Newington Road contains a poem by Diane Dickson Alderete. The poem is written in Chinese (orange), English (red) and Spanish (blue) in separate panels against a background of a partially cloudy sky. Between the English and Spanish versions is a panel with the green inscription - This space, itself - written continuously in Chinese, English and Spanish around the perimeter of a blank space.

The purpose of the poem is to emphasis the need for and advantages of for public transportation to promote socialization and economic opportunities and a cleaner environment.
