The former council chamber is an isolated small structure built in 1885. The simple gabled building is constructed of random shale with brick chimney top, quoins and surrounds to openings. The principal facade has scalloped barges located beneath cement rendered gabled parapet and slightly decorated frieze bearing title Council Office. the triangular plot of land on which it is situated is surrounded by gum trees between two and four metres apart.
