The Laima clock is located in a square in front of Sigulda train station.
The clock is almost a four-sided sculpture, an inverted pyramid with lines, fields and colors and made of stainless steel. A clock is placed at the top of the pyramid facing all four corners of the world. Above the dials is written "Laima" and below "Anno 1870"
The beautiful Laima clock is designed by the Latvian designer Arvis Sprogis.
The clock face is round and it has a white background with an outer ring in golden. The clock hands are black and also black dashes where the numbers should be
In 2010, the Latvian chocolate factory "Laima" celebrated its 140th anniversary and in that connection called for the city that best matched the title "City of Love". It was Sigulda that won and thus the city also won the Laima clock.
In 2012, it was unveiled, together with the newly renovated railway station
