This Oklahoma Historical Marker states that Roxana was the first "oil boom" town in Oklahoma, sparked by the No. 1 McCully well, which was the first mile-deep oil well in the state. The marker is on a road side pull out on the north side of Highway 51, on the west edge of Logan County.
