At the cost of only 1 cent, a person can still have their fortune told and their weight measured.
This scale was once housed in the public restrooms near 9th St by the Big Sioux River. The scale was moved to the offices of the public parking Department of the City of Sioux Falls when a parking ramp was built across the site of the restrooms in 1962.
The city transferred the scale to the museum in 2000.
