" It runs along the entire wild coast above creeks and steep cliffs. The hike has no technical difficulties other than the 5 hour walk under the sun. You will therefore need to provide sun protection, plenty of water, snacks and a vehicle waiting for you at the end.

Duration of the complete hike: 5h one way for 11km, possibility of parking at the ruins of the sugar factory and starting the walk on the dirt road.

It is in the bend near the Campeche picnic area that the hike begins

The sugar factory remained in the Douillard family until 1881. In 1886, it turned to the production of rum without much success. The activity continued until 1950. Currently the land and the ruins belong to the General Council and is part of the "Slave Route" circuit."

" Elle longe toute la côte sauvage au dessus de criques et de falaises escarpées. La randonnée ne possède pas de difficultés techniques autre que les 5h de marche sous le soleil. Il faudra donc prévoir des protections solaires, beaucoup d’eau, des collations et un véhicule qui vous attend à la fin.

Durée de la randonnée complète : 5h aller simple pour 11km, possibilité de se garer aux ruines de la sucrerie et de débuter la marche sur la route de terre.

La sucrerie reste dans la famille Douillard jusqu'en 1881. En 1886, elle se tourne vers la production de rhum sans grand succès. L'activité perdure jusqu'en 1950. Actuellement le terrain et les ruines appartiennent au Conseil général et fait partie du circuit "La route de l'esclave"."
