The station mark is set in the top of a square concrete monument that projects about 8 inches above the ground. It is located about 3 feet west of a fiberglass witness post with the top broken off. The 1993 NGS description for how to reach the station and its reference marks remains accurate.
The forested area to the north and west of the station makes for excellent hiking with abundant opportunities for quiet solitude (though it can get rather muddy during rainstorms and in times of snow melt, which makes for difficult travel). There is an expansive view of the Bearlodge Mountains to the east of the station that includes a great glimpse of the Missouri Buttes and the top portion of Devils Tower.
