This trailhead provides parking for large groups or large vehicles. There is camping here as well as hiking opportunities. Hiking options are the Chancellor Trail which goes along the Canyon Creek and a spur trail up Jackita Ridge and Crater Mountain. The trail gently slopes up the ridge if you go east, otherwise you stick along the the Chancellor Trail headed west and enjoy the sounds of the water.
As of this entry (1/17/2023) the bridge is out and you will need to ford the stream to get to the Chancellor Trail
