Die "Graurheindorfer Bücherkarre" ist ein offener Bücherschrank in Bonn-Graurheindorf. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Bücherschränken in Bonn hat dieser ein einzigartiges Design und wurde in Handarbeit von Anwohnern hergestellt. Dazu wurde eine alte Kutsche renoviert, bunt bemalt und umgebaut. Jetzt ist sie mit Türen versehen und beinhaltet bunte Regale zum Aufbewahren der Bücher. Eine zusätzliche Klappe bietet Platz für Kinderbücher.

Die Bücherkarre steht im Zentrum Graurheindorfs an der Brücke der Estermannstraße über den Rheindorfer Bach. Am 4. Oktober 2020 wurde sie von lokalen Politikern und Schriftstellern feierlich eingeweiht. Sie war bei meinem Besuch gut gefüllt und hat sich bei Passanten großer Beliebtheit erfreut.

The "Graurheindorfer Bücherkarre" (i.e. "Graurheindorf book cart") is a community book exchange in Bonn-Graurheindorf. Unlike most book cabinets in Bonn, this one has a unique design and was handcrafted by local residents. For this purpose, an old carriage was renovated, brightly painted and rebuilt. Now it has doors and includes colorful shelves to store the books. An additional flap offers space for children's books.

The book cart is in the center of Graurheindorf at the Estermannstraße bridge over the Rheindorfer Bach. On October 4, 2020, it was inaugurated by local politicians and writers. It was well filled when I visited and was very popular with passers-by.
