ASHFORD IN THE WATER MILLENNIUM AD-2000 MEMORIAL -
A limestone castellated chimney removed from the vestry roof is now an orientation table. It was set up here in 2000 by the south porch of the church. The table is made of stainless steel and records various details of the village, height above sea level, population, grid reference, notable events in the village's history*, and the direct distances to nearby villages, towns, and Sheffield.
