Se trata de un grupo escultórico realizado en bronce por el escultor Jesús Gavira, e inaugurado en septiembre de 2010, dentro de los actos del VI Centenario de la Toma de Antequera por el Infante don Fernando; y en homenaje a los nazaríes antequeranos que tras la invasión castellana de la Ciudad, fueron expulsados hacia el Reino Nazarí de Granada, donde fundaron el barrio de la Antequeruela. Se encuentra situado junto a las murallas de la Torre del Asalto, en la Plaza del Carmen, el lugar por donde las tropas castellanas invadieron la Alcazaba de Antequera.
El grupo escultórico representa una familia de andaluces musulmanes, compuesta por el matrimonio y dos hijos, uno de ellos un bebé en brazos de la madre. En un plano algo más avanzado camina la figura masculina, tocado de turbante y portando en su mano derecha la llave de la casa abandonada, que acerca su mano izquierda a la frente en actitud de divisar el camino que debe recorrer en dirección a la Peña de los Enamorados y hacia Granada. A su lado aparece la esposa con aire apesadumbrado y tratando de arropar a sus hijos con su cuerpo.

It is a sculptural group made in bronze by the sculptor Jesús Gavira, and inaugurated in September 2010, within the acts of the VI Centenary of the Taking of Antequera by the Infante don Fernando; and in homage to the Nasrids from Antequera who, after the Castilian invasion of the City, were expelled to the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, where they founded the Antequeruela neighborhood. It is located next to the walls of the Torre del Asalto, in the Plaza del Carmen, the place where the Castilian troops invaded the Alcazaba de Antequera.
The sculptural group represents a family of Muslim Andalusians, made up of a married couple and two children, one of them a baby in the mother's arms. In a somewhat more advanced shot, the male figure walks, wearing a turban and holding the key to the abandoned house in his right hand, bringing his left hand to his forehead in an attitude of spotting the path he must follow in the direction of Peña de Los Enamorados and towards Granada. At his side appears the wife with a sorrowful air and trying to cover her children with her body.
