This small parking area at the northwest corner of Death Valley National Park contains a shelter, a pay kiosk, restrooms, and a map of the area. This section of Amargosa Valley that leads down into Death Valley has been known as "Hell's Gate" ever since the first setters traveled this path. Come here in the summer and you'll find out why!
