"A fine example of Beaux Arts Classic Revival architecture, this structure has a scale much grander than the surrounding buildings. The treatment of the first floor and mezzanine level appear as one floor with the height almost equalling the entire height of the adjacent two story buildings. The facade of these two floors is done in cast stone blocks. A two foot high watertable is located at the base of the west and north facades. Stone plinths support the cast stone pilasters on both sides which in turn support a continuous entablature. The pilasters have recessed panels and decorative capitals. The two pilasters flanking the west entry have plaques at the base that bear information regarding the structure. The entablature has a decorative architrave and projecting cornice with a plain frieze. "CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK" in raised letter is located above the west entry. The north facade is vertically divided into seven bays while the west, or front, facade is divided into three bays." (
