[ES] “Fue el segundo de seis hermanos. Durante la guerra fue teniente en el cuerpo de Sanidad.
En el exilio pasó por el campo de concentración francés de Septfonds. Se alistó en la CTE 64, siendo destinado a Cravant, Mezidon y posteriormente a Bretevilles-sur-Laize en Calvados.
Detenido en Compiègne, fue deportado al campo de concentración de Neuengamme el 21 de mayo de 1944, llegando al campo el día 24. En este convoy fueron deportados 2004 personas, entre ellos iba también Gabriel Álvarez Arjona y los hermanos Jesús y Miguel Santos Alonso, a quienes también se pondrá stolperstein.
Rafael sobrevivió y como muchos de sus compatriotas se quedó en Francia. Murió a principio de 2000 en Martignas-sur-Jalle, al lado de Burdeos.
Su stolperstein se puso el día 14 de octubre de 2022 en la calle Cervantes, 12.”
