Oud-eigenaar Van Tilburg bleef nog jaren, inmiddels op vrijwillige basis, bij deze molen betrokken. In augustus 2010 werden de roeden gestreken en vervolgens de kap verwijderd. Deze laatste moest grondig worden hersteld. Op 12 mei 2011 is de geheel gerestaureerde kap weer op de molen geplaatst; op 14 juli dat jaar volgde de officiële ingebruikname.
