Esta bella y antiquísima Iglesia, antiguamente Capilla es Monumento Histórico Nacional, fue la primera que hubo en Bariloche fundada en el año 1901 por iniciativa del Padre salesiano Zacarías Genghini y fue construida por Primo Modesto Capraro un Constructor italiano nacido en Belluno, Italia en 1873 y fallecido en Bariloche (Argentina) en el año 1933. Se lo consideró pionero en el comercio, la industria y el turismo de la región de San Carlos de Bariloche. La misma fue destruida totalmente por un incendio en el año 2014.
Este fue primer templo católico de la ciudad y una de las pocas construcciones antiguas que aún se conservaban en pie hasta el incendio. Con lo que pagó el seguro, más contribuciones generosas de los fieles y un donativo del propio Papa Francisco se concluyó su reconstrucción, siendo este templo un poco más grande que el anterior. En el año 1973 fue declarada Monumento Histórico Nacional y fue trasladada por un sistema de rieles a este lugar dado que el Colegio Don Bosco se estaba ampliando.
En su interior podemos observar bellísimas imágenes talladas en madera, la imagen de La Inmaculada Concepción en el altar mayor, a su derecha la imagen de San José y el Niño y a su izquierda la imagen del Sagrado Corazón y el Bautisterio. También nos encontramos con una bella imagen de cuerpo entero tallada en madera de San Juan Pablo II.
El templo actual es un tanto más grande que el anterior, dispone de un subsuelo en el que se encuentra reflejada la historia de “La Inmaculada” y una cripta en la que descansan los restos del Padre Zacarías creador de la misma. Los horarios de Misa son los siguientes: Lunes a las 8.00 hs, martes a viernes a las 19.00 hs. Domingo: 9:30 - 12:00 - 19:00 hs. Los sábados de marzo a octubre a las 19.00 hs y de noviembre a febrero a las 20.00 hs. Domingos de 9:30 - 12:00 - 19:00 hs.
This beautiful and ancient Church, formerly a Chapel, is a National Historic Monument, it was the first in Bariloche founded in 1901 at the initiative of the Salesian Father Zacarías Genghini and was built by Primo Modesto Capraro, an Italian builder born in Belluno, Italy in 1873 and He died in Bariloche (Argentina) in 1933. He was considered a pioneer in commerce, industry and tourism in the San Carlos de Bariloche region. It was totally destroyed by a fire in 2014.
This was the first Catholic temple in the city and one of the few old buildings that was still standing until the fire. With what the insurance paid, plus generous contributions from the faithful and a donation from Pope Francis himself, its reconstruction was completed, this temple being a little larger than the previous one. In 1973 it was declared a National Historic Monument and was moved by a rail system to this place as the Don Bosco College was expanding.
Inside, we can see beautiful images carved in wood, the image of The Immaculate Conception on the main altar, on the right the image of Saint Joseph and the Child, and on the left the image of the Sacred Heart and the Baptistery. We also find a beautiful full-length image carved in wood of Saint John Paul II.
The current temple is somewhat larger than the previous one, it has a basement in which the history of "La Inmaculada" is reflected and a crypt in which the remains of Father Zacarías, creator of it, rest. Mass times are as follows: Monday at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday to Friday at 7:00 p.m. Sunday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturdays from March to October at 7:00 p.m. and from November to February at 8:00 p.m. Sundays from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
