Cheonggyecheon is both a waterway and an urban renewal project. According to the Korean-language edition of the wikipedia site, the Seoul Municipal Government intends that by 2050 the Cheonggyecheon stream will be restored to its history, its tradition and its natural setting. The Korean-language site has more details and is more than twice as long as the English-language wikipedia page.
