This gated mine has been abandoned long ago. It can be seen just off of the Monongahela River near Little Falls, WV.

This is one of several abandoned coal mines along the Mon River Trail west of Little Falls. The mine has been gated off. The floor of the mine a few feet from the entrance is cloudy water, I couldn't tell how deep. This portal may have been opened as a drain for Mine: Consol No. 30 Hill No. 1, Company: Consolidation Coal Co.
