This life-sized bronze sculpture of a Veterinarian with a horse and dog portrays the positive bond the Virginia Tech Veterinarian staff has with their patients. Based on concepts by Terry Lawrence, Gwen Reardon created this sculpture for the schools 25th anniversary. It resides at the main entrance to the Veterinarian facilities for all entrants to see and enjoy its beauty.
"This statue will stand in permanent tribute to the human-animal bond, to our college and all it has achieved, and the profession in general," said Dr. Gerhardt Schurig
