Saugus Garden Club established a Blue Star Memorial By-Way to honor the nation's service men and women at Evans Park, a 1-acre triangular common at the junction of Winter and Central Streets in Saugus, Massachusetts. The dedication ceremony was held on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The monument consists of a bronze plaque mounted on a just larger granite boulder book ended by evergreen shrubs. The plaque is topped by a five-pointed blue star and reads:
