"Kastel-Staadt is a local community in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Saarburg-Kell.

During excavations in 2006-08, a Gallo-Roman theater was discovered 200 m away in a steep slope of the Plateau Sporn, which was probably connected with the sanctuary. The theater area was discovered by chance in 2006. The theater included 34 rows of seats in a semicircle and had room for about 3,000 spectators inside. After the completion of the archaeological excavations, the tourist development of the site took place. The official inauguration took place in 2013. The former Roman cult theater is freely accessible."
