The Promenade Shops Evergreen Walk shopping plaza features a freestanding arch at the southeast corner of its property in Manchester, Connecticut.
The steel structure spans some of the space between two buildings and serves as a gateway to a paved public courtyard. Aside from the low stone surrounds at the posts' bases, most of the components are coated in a soft green. The uppermost and larger of two openings is filled with a series of 42 equally spaced vertical red slats. Bold black letters read "EVERGREEN WALK PARK" and stretch horizontally across a light gray background plank in front of the bars. A fanciful "E" inside a square keystone tops the center of the gently curved peak.
