The western end of Forest Park is a beautifully landscaped aquatic gardens area created by Frederick Law Olmsted. A covered footbridge was installed over the Pecuosic Brook around 1980. The bridge is a small wooden lattice-truss covered bridge. It has concrete abutments and half-height vertical board siding. The roof has wood shingles.

The bridge is a 30' long by 7' wide by 10' high wooden lattice-truss covered bridge. It has a wood plank floor and concrete abutments and half-height vertical board siding. The gable roof has wood shingles.
