The indigenous name for the local crabs and prawns is Ghukn - from the local Gooreng Gooreng tribe. Crustaceans such as Lobsters, Kril, Crabs, and Prawns have an external skeleton, with jointed legs, but without a backbone. Many have claws to catch prey or for protection. There is a couple of photos showing the most common. The sign shows the Local Risks to Crustaceans: Overfishing, Habitat Loss, and Pollution, as well as How You Can Help. There is a QR code to be scanned if you want more specific information.

BTW: "A Mud Crab must measure at least 15cm across the widest part of the shell if you want to take it home."
