In May 1954, the "Boppard chairlift" was put into operation, which had been founded a year earlier by the brothers Oswald and Fridolin Krautkrämer, Heinrich Schweitzer, Willi Vogt and Franz Asprion as Bopparder Stuhlbahn GmbH. The chairlift covers a distance of 915 meters and 240 vertical meters in a travel time of 20 minutes. The chairlift has 80 seats and has been transporting bicycles from the valley to the mountain bike park since 2006. It operates from April 1 to October 31 and carries an average of about 80,000 passengers annually.
