Vernon Historical Society Headquarters and Museum is located in the building built for the Vernon Grange in 1928. Their goal is to: "Collecting, Preserving and Sharing the History of Vernon and Rockville Connecticut". Rockville is a village in Vernon which is the industrial and civic center of Vernon.

The Vernon Historical Society is a non-profit organization which is totally operated by volunteers. They operate a museum in the building which not only preserves and exhibits artifacts of the history of Vernon but also provides research materials for historians, genealogists, and interested citizens.

They regularly post on their Facebook pages (visit link) the history of items of interest from their collection.
