At around 9:45 p.m., possibly earlier on Sept. 15, the fountain in downtown Bloomsburg at the intersection of Main Street and Market Street was filled with foaming soap. A large number of witnesses saw the foam in the fountain and images of it quickly spread through social media.
The Bloomsburg Town Police showed up on the scene to investigate. It is not known who put the soap in the fountain but it apparently added some excitement to a lot of people’s Tuesday night. An anonymous source reported around 11:50 p.m. that some young people, possibly high school students, began to swim in the soapy water.
