WSC Station 02GE009 (Big Creek Near Comber) - Essex, ON - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I located three reference discs for WSC Station 02GE009 on Big Creek at Lakeshore Rd 308 in Essex County. This waymark encompasses all three discs, as they are intervisible, each bears no unique identifying marks, and the station itself is defunct. Hydrometric station 02GE009 operated from 2016 - 2020, reporting flow (discharge; since 2019) and water levels.

Two reference disc are mounted on the road bridge over Big Creek, just above the road level (on the north-west and south-east corners). The third is flush mounted into a concrete pad that presumably once supported the instrument shelter, immediately south-west of the bridge . As typical, the discs are only marked with "Water Survey of Canada" and have no other identifying characters.
