The Halifax North Memorial Public Library is a branch library of the Halifax City Regional Library system. It was built in 1964 with funds from Halifax Relief Commission in memory of the 1,600 victims killed in the Halifax Explosion of December 6, 1917.

The brick and glass building was designed by Keith L. Graham and associated in the mid-century modern style. The symmetrical building has a central glass entrance recessed behind a large canopy with a flat roof. On both sides are identical rectangular brick wings with glass extensions on each side. The building is set back from Gottingen Street in a large plaza dominated by a large sculpture called the Freedom Sculpture described the history of the culture of the neighborhood.
