I bygningen, som siden 1868 har huset den gamle brandsprøjte, er der gennem årene samlet effekter, optegnelser m.m., der giver et levende indtryk af datidens brandberedskab. Museet repræsenterer en vigtig del af udviklingen inden for beredskab og brandbekæmpelse, ikke bare på Fanø men i Danmark, og derfor er det værd at bevare samlingen for eftertiden.

English: Sønderho Fire Museum is an old sprinkler house that was used as a local fire station in the period 1868 - 1965. Today you can see an exhibition about firefighting and equipment. The museum is open to visitors during the day in the summer.

In the building, which has housed the old fire sprinkler since 1868, effects, records etc. have been collected over the years, giving a vivid impression of the fire preparedness of the time. The museum represents an important part of the development in preparedness and firefighting, not just on Fanø but in Denmark, and therefore it is worth preserving the collection for posterity.
