[FR] Le premier orgue de chœur de la cathédrale a été construit en 1843 par la maison parisienne DAUBLAINE & CALLINET, avec seize jeux sur 2 claviers et pédalier. Cet orgue fut agrandi à 24 jeux en 1864 puis cédé à la paroisse Notre-Dame des Ronces de Nontron (Dordogne) en 1874, après la construction du grand-orgue Merklin.En 1903, un nouvel orgue de chœur fut construit par Charles MUTIN, successeur de CAVAILLE-COLL. L’instrument a 17 jeux sur 2 claviers et pédalier avec un buffet à trois larges plate-faces.Dans les années 1970, l’orgue est démonté et stocké dans les sous-sols de la cathédrale. Il est remplacé en 1980 par un Positif de Jean-Loup BOISSEAU.En 1980, l’instrument est classé aux Monuments Historiques pour sa partie instrumentale.En 1994, le facteur Lucien SIMON de Brousse (Puy-de-Dôme) restaure et remonte l’orgue de MUTIN auprès du chœur.
