The pond is in the middle of a green space that was created in 2014 from overgrown spare ground.
In 2019 the pond was also cleared, an island created in the middle and drainage from a wet area to the west to help the water level in the pond to be maintained.
The sign has information about the plants and insects that can be found in the pond together with the life cycle of frogs.
