"Caracol Clay Studio est le studio de poterie de l'artiste Janet Grabner et de son mari John Dahm. Il est situé à 22 km à l'est de Drumheller au cœur des badlands. Suivez simplement l'autoroute n ° 10 jusqu'à East Coulee et suivez les panneaux indiquant leur studio.
Ils ont une large sélection de poteries fabriquées à la main à vendre dans leur galerie toute l'année. Ils sont ouverts tous les jours du 1er mai au 1er octobre. Le reste de l'année ils sont ouverts au hasard ou sur rendez-vous.
John et Janet fabriquent à la main toute la poterie dans leur atelier sans tour de potier. L'argile qu'ils utilisent provient de Medicine Hat, en Alberta. Ils fabriquent également la plupart des émaux qu'ils utilisent. Passez au studio pour les voir travailler et parcourez la galerie.
Caracol est le mot espagnol pour la coquille d'escargot. Ce sont les qualités intrinsèques du coquillage et des autres objets naturels qui les inspirent. Caracol est ce qui est vu par leurs yeux, ressenti par leur cœur et fabriqué par leurs mains.
Janet a créé de nombreuses peintures murales de carreaux d'argile pour les écoles de l'Alberta, au Canada. Les élèves aident à décorer les tuiles que Janet monte sur le mur pour créer une image de votre choix. La murale ajoute de la chaleur et de la beauté à un mur d'école qui est durable et facile à nettoyer."
