Just above the campground is this small red sandstone outcrop that dates back to the Jurassic Period, around 190 million years ago. There are a few footprints of Grallator and Kayentapus dinosaurs.
While this site is just about a three-minute walk from the parking lot, if you venture out amongst the red landscape you can find upwards of 17 footprints that are locked in time.
Getting here is easy provided that your vehicle can fit an 11-foot, 9-inch high couple of tunnels under I-15. And that you have $5 for day use of the site.
What kinds of fossils are found here: Dinosaur footprints of both Grallator and Kayentapus families dating some 190 million years back to the Jurasic period.
 Admission Fee: yes
