[FR] La première église Saint-André ayant été démolie à la Révolution, une nouvelle église est décidée en 1843 et confiée à l'architecte André Bisson puis Alfred Dauvergne. Ce dernier réalise une église à trois nefs, avec un transept et deux clochers en façade, dans le style néo-gothique du XIIIe siècle. L'édifice a conservé une partie de son mobilier contemporain de la construction. Les vitraux sont de l'atelier Lobin, à Tours, et ont été posés en 1875-1876. Les verrières du choeur, endommagées par le bombardement de la gare en 1944, ont été remplacées par des vitraux de Detviller et Tillier d'Issoudun, posés en 1955 et 1963.
[EN] The first church of Saint-André having been demolished during the Revolution, a new church was decided upon in 1843 and entrusted to the architect André Bisson and then Alfred Dauvergne. Dauvergne built a church with three naves, a transept and two bell towers in the neo-Gothic style of the 13th century. The building has retained some of its furniture from the time of its construction. The stained glass windows are from the Lobin workshop, in Tours, and were installed in 1875-1876. The windows of the choir, damaged by the bombing of the station in 1944, were replaced by stained glass windows by Detviller and Tillier of Issoudun, installed in 1955 and 1963.
