EN: The Lötschberg line was completed in 1913 and connects the canton of Bern with the Upper Valais. The route is still world famous among railway enthusiasts and is a popular travel destination. From 1907, a construction line was first built for the construction of the line, which brought construction workers, materials and machines to the construction sites of the large line and was dismantled after their opening in 1913. In 1960, the "Lötschberger Südrampe" hiking trail was set up, which runs along the route of the former construction railway in some stages and also through some of its tunnels.

This tunnel is located north of the Baltschieder viaduct. It is about 70 meters long and runs along the east side of the Baltschieder valley towards the south. The tunnel is not illuminated. Since it has a bend in the middle, some meters are in the dark. Also, towards the southern end, some water comes out of the walls, so there are some puddles on the ground. On both sides of the tunnel are suspension bridges.

Die Strecke ist unter Eisenbahnenthusiasten auch heute noch weltbekannt und ein beliebtes Reiseziel. Für die Errichtung der Linie wurde ab 1907 erst eine Baubahn erstellt, die Bauarbeiter, Material und Maschinen zu den Baustellen der grossen Linie brachte und nach deren Eröffnung 1913 wieder abgebaut wurde. 1960 wurde der Wanderweg "Lötschberger Südrampe" eingerichtet, der auf einigen Etappen auf der Trasse der ehemaligen Baubahn verläuft und auch durch einige ihrer Tunnel führt.

Dieser Tunnel befindet sich nördlich des Baltschiederviadukts. Er ist etwa 70 Meter lang und führt entlang der Ostseite des Baltschiedertals gegen Süden. Der Tunnel ist nicht beleuchtet. Da es in der Mitte ein Kurve hat, liegen einige Meter im Dunkeln. Ausserdem tritt gegen das südliche Ende etwas Wasser aus den Wänden, so dass es einige Pfützen auf dem Boden hat. An beiden Seiten des Tunnels befinden sich Hängebrücken.
