They say the field is going to be renovated. I'll wait and see.
Baseball ha been played on this field since, at least, the 1940's. A semi-pro team played here, and Khoury Leagues teams played here. Now the field is gone.

A shame to me, this is now going to be a grass area, and a city park. But the ball field has been destroyed, on purpose. The dugout and stand are gone, a piece of the back bleachers and the concession stand building remain. A huge pavilion is built on the edge of the parking lot.
I played and umpired, many a game here, even coached a team that qualified for Nationals, on this field.

This geocache is located in Wentzville's Fireman's Park, right next to Fire Station #1 in downtown Wentzville. It is a five acre park with athletic fields and picnic areas. While you are here, take the time to visit the first Vietnam Veteran's Memorial placed in the United States. The memorial is located on the east side of the Fire Station and was recently renovated.

The cache is only large enough for the log and small trackables, so please bring a pen or pencil with you. Wentzville Park hours are dawn to dusk. Stealth may be required. Please make sure you leave cache exactly as you found it.
