A medium sized quonset hut located at the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center at 11700 SW 100th St, Denton, NE 68339.
Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center is an 850-acre tallgrass prairie nature preserve located 20 minutes southwest of Lincoln, Nebraska. (Download driving directions to the Center below.) Visitors can enjoy miles of walking trails (download trail map below or link to our new online trail map), nearly 650 acres of native (never plowed) tallgrass prairie, ponds and wetlands, wildflowers and grasses, a diverse assortment of birds and other wildlife, historic nineteenth-century wagon ruts, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful scenic vistas.
The quonset hut is on the south side of the access road about 500 feet from the main street. There is no labeling but it is obviously a maintenance shed containing all that is needed to maintain the huge nature preserve. It is of a standard design with the following add-ons: a large roll-up garage door, a chimney exhaust line, and exterior window. The hut is in very good condition.
