The Trilha do Mirante (Viewpoint Trail) takes hikers up from the park to the Tapir Viewpoint, a lookout tower about 2 KM up the trail. About half way there the trail forks; go right for the tower, and left for the APE cache. The trail to the tower is in good condition with very little bushwhacking required. The cut off to the APE cache is a bit rougher.
