On June 6th 2018 a sculpted sundial was donated by the family of retired Hampden County Housing Court Judge Edward C. Peck Jr. and dedicated in memory of Peck's late wife, Ruth Mahoney Peck. The sundial was created by sculptor James Kitchen. The dial is made from a steel saw blade. The gnomon is made from ice skate blade welded to a pipe wrench. The hour markings are raised above the saw blade. The sundial is set on a millstone which sits on a stone block.
Sundial Type: Horizontal - Flat base, Ground or Pedestal mounted dial plate
