As part of Gilbert's Open Seating Public Art Project in the Heritage District, this bench was created by artist Ghazal Ghazi. She focused on the ecology and native flora in Arizona and said "the idea is to inspire a greater appreciation for nature through art."
The translucent fiberglass bench is in the shape of a living-room couch. The bench can be lit, which increases its visual appeal.
