PT: "Fonte estilo renacentista em cantaría pontuada, provavelmente, a policromia com espaldar recto, enquadrado por pilastras toscanas, entablamento com inscrição epigrafada, com pedra de armas da Ordem Dominicana, a centro e remate em frontão interrompido pela pedra de armas real de D. João Il. Bica circular, encimada pela data 1545 sob nicho com baldaquino, hoje vazio, mas que albergou uma imagem de São Gonçalo. Tanque rectangular. Na inscrição pode-se ler GONSALVIS O SANCTISSIME QVOS PASCIS HIC AMPLISSIME /NOS TERGE A PIACVLIS HOC FONTE ET MIRACVLS que, numa tradução livre será: Ó Santissimo Gonçalo/ Limpa-nos, aos que nos lavamos/ A nós que saciais aqui abundantemente/ Nesta fonte e sus milagres.
Actualmente está adosada à parte exterior da sacristia da Igreja de São Gonçalo. Da sua origem até aos anos trinta do século passado esteve colocada sob a janela da mesma sacristia, num pútio junto da escada que descia para o rio muito perto do túmulo de São Gonçalo."
