Diese Automaten stelle ich an gut erreichbaren Standorten auf, fülle sie mit kleinen, von mir gefertigten Kunstwerken und überlasse sie weitgehend sich selbst. Die Kunstwerke sind alle handgefertigt, alle Unikate und haben alle einen hohen Anspruch an Qualität. Es tauchen Werke mit seriellem Charakter auf, sowie sehr verschiedene Materialien und spezielle Techniken. Dabei bedingt mal die Technik das Material, aber auch mal das Material die Technik.
Allen Miniaturen gemein ist, dass sie sich thematisch mit mit dem lokalen Standort beschäftigen, sei es inhaltlich oder vom verwendeten Material her. Es gibt Zeichnungen von Ortschaften und Bauwerken genauso wie Aquarelle von Landschaften, Motive der Flora und Fauna, sowie Mischtechniken oder Illustrationen zu Kuriositäten der Eifel und deren Geschichte. Gedacht sind die kleinen Kunstwerke als Souvenir, als kleiner Gruß, als kleines Dankeschön oder einfach als last-minute-Geschenk. Je nach Standort sind die Automaten mit sehr lokalspezifischen Themen gefüllt, so dass Naturgegebenheiten, lokale Persönlichkeiten oder Bauwerke behandelt werden. Da größtenteils die Natur behandelt wird, ist es für mich selbstverständlich, dass ich auch Naturmaterialien, wie zum Beispiel, Holz, Erde oder Stein verwende. Durch die Verwertung von einfachen, unscheinbaren Dingen, bekommen sie einen neuen Stellenwert und präsentieren sich mit einem bemerkenswerten Selbstbewußtsein.

I place these vending machines in easily accessible locations, fill them with small works of art made by me and leave them largely to their own devices. The artworks are all handmade, all unique and all have a high demand on quality. Works with a serial character appear, as well as very different materials and special techniques. Sometimes the technique determines the material, but sometimes the material determines the technique.
What all the miniatures have in common is that they deal thematically with the local site, whether in terms of content or the material used. There are drawings of towns and buildings as well as watercolours of landscapes, motifs of flora and fauna, mixed techniques or illustrations of curiosities of the Eifel and its history. The small works of art are intended as a souvenir, a small greeting, a small thank you or simply as a last-minute gift. Depending on the location, the vending machines are filled with very local themes, so that natural features, local personalities or buildings are dealt with. Since nature is the main subject, it is natural for me to use natural materials such as wood, earth or stone. By using simple, inconspicuous things, they take on a new significance and present themselves with a remarkable self-confidence.
