The final resting place of centenarian Zella Aigner is at the far northwest corner of Grace Hill Cemetery, at the west side of section X. A family marker "Aigner" is nearby Zella's single headstone, which has the following inscription:

Zella Aigner, 100, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of George and Myrta (Potts) Loveless. She was born October 19, 1912 in Ness City, Kansas and died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma.

She came to Oklahoma in 1915 riding in a covered wagon at the age of three and grew up on the family farm five miles south of Red Rock, Oklahoma.

She attended Lilly School District 67 on Red Rock Road, four and a quarter miles south of Red Rock.

Her mother passed away when she was thirteen and she helped her dad care for her two younger brothers, Chester and Cecil and her sister, Inabel.

Zella married John Aigner on March 20, 1935 in Perry, Oklahoma. They made their home two miles east and one mile south of Perry.

They had two children, a daughter, Janice Beverly and a son, Gary Dean. Both children were killed on January 1, 1963 when a car hit the motorcycle on which they were riding east of Perry. John preceded her in death on May 6, 1990.

She worked as a scrub nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital for several years and later was employed as a guest clerk at the Cherokee Strip Motel until she retired.

Zella enjoyed nature and the great outdoors as well as traveling but above all she loved her family and her church.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, the Alter Guild and the Lutheran's Women's Missionary League.

She also was a member of the Noble County Home Demonstration Club for over 50 years. Zella was a past Beta Sigma Phi sorority Woman of the Year.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Christ Lutheran Church, in Perry, Oklahoma.

Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.

Zella is survived by her special grandson, Darren Huddleston and his wife, Renee; four great-grandchildren, Grant, Alisha, Chelsey and Delainey all of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five nieces, Barbara Schweer, Lorene James, Patty Strang, Sandy Hill and Lana Reigler; seven nephews, Gene Loveless, Jim Chrz, Bob Chrz, Dale Chrz and Billy Ray Chrz, Dick Bass and Tom Crandall; a number of great-nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and two special friends, Ben and Kay Passow.

She was preceded in death by husband, John Aigner; daughter, Janice; son, Gary; parents, George and Myrta Loveless; four brothers, Harlie, Wilbur, Chester and Cecil; six sisters, Elrean, Launa, Opal, Della, Inabel and an unnamed infant.
