Ida Smith is laid to rest at the southeast side of Grace Hill Cemetery, at the southeast side of section S. She shares an upright, light gray marker with her spouse Clayton, who preceded her in death by 33 years. Their headstone has the following inscription:

Ida Smith, 102, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Ernest and Linda (Schwatzer) Gottschalk. She was born on July 2, 1904 on the family farm in Noble County and died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Ida married Clayton Austin Smith on June 6, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Rev. Carlton Riemer will officiate. Committal services will be 2:00 p.m. at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hour in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
Ida is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann (Smith) Andrews and her husband, John, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jeff Andrews and his wife, Diane, of Muskogee, Oklahoma and James Andrews and his wife, Tina, of Singapore; three great-grandchildren, Clayton Andrews, Callum Andrews and Tara Andrews, all of Singapore and one brother, Walter Gottschalk and his wife, Clara, of Perry, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Carl Gottschalk and his wife, Helen.
