"The monument was placed at the roundabout Spijkweg/Walibi on the occasion of the eighteenth World Jamboree.

The monument was made by Corry Ammerlaan-van Niekerk and was unveiled by youth members of the Flevo-Scouts together with Prince Claus, the then patron of Scouting Nederland. It symbolizes the unity of the youth from all over the world."
