The village of Dunning is situated seven miles south-west of the Scottish city of Perth at the southern edge of Strathearn at the foot of the Ochil Hills. The bowling club in the village was formed in 1873 and the green can be found on the B9141 Station Road heading north-westwards out of the village.

The green lies on the east side of the road clearly visible from the roadside. The clubhouse lies opposite on the eastern side of the green.
