PT: "Estação ferroviária da Linha do Tâmega, construída no início do séc. 20, constituindo a de maior importância da linha, conservando ainda o edifício de passageiros (EP), as instalações sanitárias públicas (WC), os dois cais cobertos (CC), a casa de habitação da passagem de nível, a casa do poço e outros elementos. O edifício de passageiros, projetado pelos serviços da Companhia de Caminhos de Ferro do Estado - Companhia do Minho e Douro, segue a tipologia dos edifícios de 2.ª classe, com linhas depuradas, mas valorizado pelos cunhais em silharia fendida e pelo jogo alternado de vãos em arco abatido e de volta perfeita, nos portais do corpo central, ambos com chave saliente. Apresenta planta retangular, composta por três corpos, regularmente dispostos, o central de dois pisos, separados por friso e terminado em empena alteada, e os laterais de apenas um, rasgadas regularmente por janelas de peitoril ou portas de verga abatida, possuindo na fachada virada ao cais de embarque pala metálica ou marquise, sobre falsas mísulas metálicas. O edifício possui grandes semelhanças com o da Estação de Vila Real, da Linha do Douro. As instalações sanitárias têm planta retangular e acessos em fachadas opostas, por porta de arco abatido, tendo, de um lado, o cubículo sanitário feminino e a lampistaria, e, do outro, os cubículos sanitários masculinos e urinóis, iluminados, nas fachadas laterais, por janelas jacentes dispostas superiormente. Constitui a única estação da linha com dois cais cobertos, um de chegadas e o outro de expedições, interligados por zona central de interligação, formando volume único e com esquema de vãos comuns nas fachadas: portas e janelas jacentes."

The passenger building, designed by the services of the Companhia de Caminhos de Ferro do Estado - Companhia do Minho e Douro, follows the typology of 2nd class buildings, with clean lines, but enhanced by the split ashlar wedges and the alternating game of spans in a hollow arch and perfect back, in the portals of the central body, both with a salient key. It has a rectangular floor plan, consisting of three bodies, regularly arranged, the central one with two floors, separated by a frieze and ending in a high gable, and the sides with only one, regularly torn by windowsills or doors with lowered lintel, having on the facade facing to the boarding pier or canopy, on false metallic corbels. The building has great similarities with that of Vila Real Station, on the Douro Line. The sanitary facilities have a rectangular plan and accesses on opposite facades, through a lowered arch door, with, on one side, the female toilet cubicle and the lamp, and, on the other, the male toilet cubicles and urinals, illuminated, on the side facades, by upper-lying windows. It is the only station on the line with two covered piers, one for arrivals and the other for expeditions, interconnected by a central interconnection area, forming a single volume and with a scheme of common openings on the facades: reclining doors and windows.
