Gargoyles on the west tower of St Luke's church, Sheen.
The tower is of three stages with angle buttresses up to second stage. The parapet has a frieze of shields set in a cusped lattice pattern, with gargoyles at the angles. Below the tower at the base are 4 discarded gargoyles, possibly from the earlier tower.
This tower dates from 1852. Its predecessor was built between 1828 and 1832 and itself replaced a church dating from the Middle Ages or the 16th century.
