The final resting place of centenarian Laura E. Vandenberg is at the southeast side of Grace Hill Cemetery, at the west side of Section S. She shares an upright marker with her husband John H. and it has the following inscription:

1887-1988
John H.
1886-1954

FAIRVIEW- Laura Ellen Vandenberg, 101, died Thursday at the Fairview Fellowship Home.
Private family graveside service will be Saturday at Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry. Fairview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born July 7, 1887 near Pittsburgh, Kansas. She married John Vandenberg on June 3, 1912, in Perry. They lived in Wichita, Kansas for six years and moved to Perry until 1946 when they returned to Wichita. He died in 1954.
She was a lifetime member of the order of the Eastern Star of Perry and Mother Adviser to Rainbow Girls of Perry.
